
Ricky van Gils is a stylist and consultant based in Paris. With over a decade of experience, Ricky's unique perspective has propelled him from assisting roles at Vogue Netherlands and Vogue Hommes, to assisting industry icon Joe McKenna, before establishing himself at the forefront of the fashion industry as an independent stylist.
Ricky’s interest in vintage clothing and sub-cultures led him to being appointed Fashion Editor at L’Étiquette Homme – a position he held for two years. His multidisciplinary approach, which draws inspiration from dance, classical and modern art to electronic music and anime, results in bold statements of personal expression. His work is characterized by the skilful weaving of narratives through clothing, utilizing vibrant colour contrasts and playful twists that give classic elements a contemporary revival.
Working across both menswear and womenswear, his portfolio boasts collaborations with renowned brands such as AMI, Berluti, Gucci, MM6 Maison Margiela, Tommy Hilfiger, Louis Vuitton, CELINE, Valstar, FURSAC, Scotch & Soda and Roger Vivier as well as esteemed publications including Vogue Netherlands, Vogue Man, i-D Magazine, L’Étiquette, The Greatest, U La Repubblica and Le Monde d’Hermès.
